what is engage?

engage is a professional membership organisation, constituted as a company limited by guarantee with charitable registration. engage is governed by a Board which meets quarterly and a Council which meets currently three times each year. Board and Council are elected by membership at the Annual General Meeting. For details of becoming involved with Board or Council please contact us.

engage is grateful for ongoing funding from the Arts Councils of England, Scotland and Wales, from the Baring and Esmée Fairbairn Foundations, the Carnegie UK Trust, and the European Commission.

Council

The engage Council focuses on reviewing and developing policy, including guidance for members, policy issues for engage's own work, and campaigning issues to inform engage's advocacy.
