Childrens Art Day
Children's Art Day has created a new focus for celebrating achievement in the visual arts.
Sir Nicholas Serota, Director, Tate Gallery
Art is the ultimate playground: a place for fun, adventure and innovation. Seeing art at first hand can
be hugely beneficial to children and families, whether it's through working with an artist in the classroom
or visiting one of the UK's brilliant museums and galleries. Children's Art Day is a vital way to engage children
and young people in something which will help them learn and bring them lifelong pleasure.

and artists with children and young people. The programme in 2010 involved some 37,000 participants in over 200 events across
the UK. You can read more below.
engage will work to secure funding to run the event in Summer 2012. For more information please check back here in Spring
2012 or contact info@engage.org.
