- Explore was a temporary initiative to improve access to galleries by disabled and deaf people.
It ran between July 2007 and February 2009. The programme was jointly developed and managed by engage and Shape, a London-based disability
arts organisation. The programme culminated in the production of the Explore Handbook, a user-friendly resource in English and Welsh,
to be used across arts organisations.
- envision (2003-2008) was engage's pioneering programme supporting
galleries to develop innovative ways of working with young people aged 14-21. It supported organisations and young people to share
ideas, expertise, resources, and create opportunities for young people to have a genuine role in shaping gallery practice. envision
had a particular focus on promoting the role galleries can play in building the skills, aspirations and engagement of young people
experiencing or at risk of disadvantage. Learning from the programme was used to produce the envision handbook and to develop engage's
Visual Roots Programme.

Collect & Share was
a project about lifelong learning in Europe, focusing on projects relating to
art galleries or museums, or involving artists. Lifelong Learning in Museums: A
European Handbook designed to support museum and gallery staff in
programme planning, strategic planning and training is now out of print, but photocopies can be purchased from engage.

Museums and Galleries Month was the UK-wide celebration of museums
and galleries which took place in May 2008.

EQUAL was run as part of an initiative for EU member
states to work together to develop common solutions to common European
problems. This sharing of information, research and experiences aimed to create
new ways to combat labour market discrimination and inequality in the
workplace.

Do You KS3 40 short case studies of exciting projects
created by museums and galleries for key stage 3 pupils. These case studies are
relevant to teachers, gallery educators, curators, artists who are thinking of
working with this age group, to offer inspiration, to share methodology, to
flag up challenges.

ArtFULL was the grants programme which
supported 16 projects by contemporary art galleries and arts centres across
England from 2003-2004.

Get it Together grants programme (2002) focused on lifelong
learning projects through gallery/museum partnerships with libraries and archives.
