Resource archive
engage holds a unique collection of documents in our Resource,
an archive of information dating from the beginnings of Gallery Education in the 1970's to the
present.
The engage Resource includes books, reports, journals, research
papers and teaching materials, as well as individual articles collected by gallery educators,
teachers and policy makers for their own practice. These provide both a theoretical background
and practical advice for gallery educators' information, research and professional development.
We would like the help of our members in strengthening this unique record of the development
of gallery education and are keen receive contributions of, for example: evaluative project
reports; exemplar teachers' packs; MA / PhD theses on the subject of gallery education. Please
contact 020 7490 7690 or email jack.fortescue@engage.org
to make a donation to the archive.
The engage resource is now housed at Iniva's Stuart Hall Library
(link) where it can be accessed by the general public on a reference-only basis. The Resource
is in a process of development, and as contents are catalogued these will be added to the
database.
You can search for items in the Resource on our
Publications database.
