Children’s Art Week 2018

Register now for Children's Art Week 2018!

  • Children's Art Week will take place from Saturday 9 to Sunday 17 June 2018.
  • Registration is open for venues of all types and sizes – from libraries to community halls, heritage venues and country parks, schools and of course museums and galleries.
  • Individual artists and makers can also register events.
  • For your event to be included as part of Children's Art Week it must take place between Saturday 9 – Sunday 17 June 2018.
  • Registration of all events will close at 5pm on Friday 18 May 2018.

Why get involved?

  • Children's Art Week is a fantastic opportunity to encourage families, children and young people to visit local venues and enjoy fun creative activities that they might not have tried before.
  • In 2017 more than 16,200 children, young people and adults took part in events across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
  • Event organisers reported that 60% of participants attending their activity were first time visitors to their venue, and 30% of participants were audiences who were completely new to the arts.
  • But don't just take it from us – hear what our wonderful ambassadors have to say about Children's Art Week!

Is there any support available?

  • The first 40 venues / individual artists or makers to register events will receive £50 seed funding to support their event.
  • All registered events will receive resources to help plan and promote their activities, publicity support from a freelance PR Consultant appointed by Engage plus free Children's Art Week stickers to hand out on the day.
  • We have lots of information to help you plan your event – click here for some ideas, and click here for tips on how you can promote your activity to local audiences.
