Engage Cymru secures Arts Council of Wales strategic funding

We're delighted to announce that Engage Cymru have been awarded £32,000 strategic funding from Arts Council of Wales for the Arts and Health Network. The funding will be used to build the capacity of the Network, and deliver key recommendations outlined in the recently launched Arts and Health Mapping Survey. Coordinator Angela Rogers said, "Engage Cymru will work closely with the Network and other experts in the field to build an online platform profiling arts and health work and ensuring a national voice for Wales as well as developing a training programme focusing on evaluation."

In Wales, the Arts Council has been supporting activity in this field for some time. The Wales Arts and Health Network has 150 arts and health professionals  in Wales, and continues to grow. It represents artists, arts organisations, academics, health board coordinators, local authority offices, voluntary organisations. The Network was set up by Engage Cymru in 2013 with Arts Council of Wales Sharing Together funding, and has supported 6 meetings per year across Wales where colleagues have opportunities to network and share and hear about opportunities. If you would like to join this free Network, email Angela Rogers.
